We encourage parents to refrain from visiting during the first 30 days of treatment. Beyond that it’s best to be in contact with the participants therapist/case manager regarding when it would be appropriate to visit. Participants are required to have a cell phone so parents are able to keep in touch.

Independent cooking and shopping for food is part of the growing process for many. Participants work directly with staff to write up grocery shopping lists and everyone pitches in at mealtime. OPI Residential has on average between 25 to 30 young men and women. OPI Outpatient can accommodate additional participants for a total average of 40 to 45 young adults in the OPI Program.

Our programs are highly individualized. The average length of stay for most however is 8-10 months in our residential program. For OPI Outpatient services can last up to a year or more, as needed.

Our participants struggle with issues ranging from Borderline Personality Disorder, Borderline Traits and Co-Occurring conditions, Bipolar Disorder, Failure to Launch, Asperger’s Syndrome and dual diagnoses to depression, anxiety addictions and learning disabilities.
