How We Can Help

Many students have experienced a negative event that changes her view of the world. Often compounded by other mental health disorders, traumatic stress can even cause other mental health issues. New Haven’s staff of trauma-informed therapists helps students process difficult emotions and then can address any accompanying disorders. Renowned for helping families solve complex issues, our residential treatment center works with families and individuals to resolve relational issues resulting from adoption, divorce and family traumatic stress.

Academics at Our Residential Treatment Center

Our Utah Residential Treatment Center has advanced academics on campus, taught by certified and passionate teachers. The academics at New Haven are rigorous, emphasizing honors and AP level courses. The school also offers the opportunity for students to join New Haven’s competitive sports teams. Each treatment team includes a teacher to ensure academics and therapy are aligned in the best interest of each student.

Family Focused Residential Treatment

Families have a weekly 90-minute family therapy session over video conference. This is a time to work together on family issues, offer support and plan for the return home.
