Dr. Minoo Mahmoudi, MD is a board-certified psychiatrist with the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She is a fellow of Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and board certified in adult psychiatry, and child and adolescent psychiatry in Canada. She attended medical school in Iran. She then went to Canada after graduation from medical school. She joined the psychiatry residency program at university of Manitoba, Canada in 2009, and completed her residency training in 2014. She completed a one-year fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at the University of Manitoba. She then joined the department of psychiatry at the University of Manitoba as a staff faculty where she worked as an inpatient and outpatient psychiatrist. She then moved to Toronto and worked as a staff psychiatrist at Youthdale Treatment Centre. She provided care to children and their families, and adults in Toronto. She then moved to the United States with her family. She completed 2 years of psychoanalytic psychotherapy training at New Centre for Psychoanalysis in Los Angeles. She then worked as an outpatient child & adolescent and adult psychiatrist at Community Psychiatry/Mind Path Health in Beverly Hills and Santa Monica from 2019 until 2022. She has worked as the consulting psychiatrist for the inpatient stabilization eating disorder unit at Torrance Memorial Medical Centre since 2019.

Dr. Mahmoudi is experienced in working with children and their families; not only in assessment, and pharmacotherapy treatment, but also providing parenting and behavioral strategies, family and individual therapy. She enjoys working with children and adults, with various concerns including but not limited to ADHD, ASD, eating disorders, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, personality disorders, trauma, and OCD. She believes in a holistic approach and has experience in different modalities of psychotherapy, including supportive psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), interpersonal therapy (IPT), psychodynamic psychotherapy, and family therapy. Dr. Mahmoudi strives to provide a safe and healing environment to her patients and their families.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and working out. She likes different workouts, spinning, Pilates, core training, and kick boxing.
