Lindsay Innis

Lindsay Innis, MA, Resident in Counseling, ATR-P

Therapist

Lindsay is a NOVA native who received her Master’s in Art Therapy from George Washington University. Prior to Embark, she worked within a variety of settings including a residential treatment center for adolescents, a nonprofit serving veterans, a special education middle/elementary school, a children’s hospital, in a hospice/bereavement organization, and a group home for adults with severe mental illness. Through these experiences she discovered that she is passionate about serving adolescents and their families and guiding them towards healing. In addition to providing art therapy services, Lindsay utilizes CBT, TF-CBT, DBT, person centered approaches and mindfulness practices to help guide clients towards their goals. She brings to the team creativity, humor, integrity, and a strong sense of empathy. When she’s not at work she enjoys spending time with her partner and their two cats, playing video games, enjoying nature, kayaking, and creating artwork or crafting.
