Ke’ala graduated with her Bachelors in Sociology and minor in Women’s Studies, and went on to obtain a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Brigham Young University. She has experience working at Primary Children’s Behavioral Hospital in their adolescent unit, and several years of experience working with substance use disorders at Utah County Department of Drug and Alcohol Prevention and Wasatch Behavioral Health. For the last three and half years, she has been with a women’s program that specialized in trauma, substance use disorders and women’s issues.

Prior to this, Ke’ala worked at Sunrise for few a years starting in 2015, and is excited to return home to the Sunrise family. She has experience working with clients with an array of concerns, including substance use disorders, trauma and PTSD, depression, anxiety, executive functioning and other concerns. She is trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), TF-CBT and other modalities.

Ke’ala loves travelling to new places, but loves returning to Hawaii and other beach destinations. She loves reading, cooking, crafting and spending time with family and friends.
