Carissa Griffor

Carissa is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling at ASU and will be graduating in May of 2024. She obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from ASU in 2017. Prior to starting graduate school, she worked as a BHT at Touchstone Health Services from 2017-2019 with youth and teens from the East valley, West valley and the Phoenix area. From 2019-2021she worked as a BHT at New Horizon Community Care in the youth mentoring program with youth and teens from the Gila River Indian Reservation. She is passionate about providing care to underserved communities, creating a safe space for clients to be their authentic self, and helping clients to process through their mental health struggles. During her free time she enjoys spending time with loved ones and friends, exercising, cooking, and baking.
