Bernard began his career with a degree in Human Biology from Michigan State University before advancing to become a Registered Nurse and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, with credentials earned from Azusa Pacific University. His specialized training was completed over multiple years in San Bernardino County Clinics. Bernard holds a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Board Certification from the American Nursing Credentialing Center.

Bernard has experience in COVID quarantine units, led Project Room Key and worked as a staff RN at an adolescent/young adult treatment center. Bernard’s current experience as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner includes treating clients for an adolescent and young adult residential treatment center in Orange County, and an addiction treatment center in Los Angeles.

Today, Bernard is also a valued member of Embark Behavioral Health, where he applies his expertise and passion for the interplay between mind and body to support mental wellness. His journey reflects a commitment to holistic, compassionate care in the field of mental health.
