Alysa Romano earned her Master’s degree at Columbia University with an emphasis on social justice and has been providing counseling for over ten years. She has worked in various levels of care and treatment settings including as a Regional Director of Operations for Center for Discovery and a Therapist with Center for Cognitive-Behavioral Psychotherapy, Oliver-Pyatt Eating Disorder Treatment Center (Monte Nido), Portland Dialectical Behavior Therapy Institute, and the University of Portland. Alysa has also taught master’s level Counseling as a Professor at National University of Natural Medicine. She provides counseling for adolescents, young adults, adults, and couples and enjoys leading groups and trainings, teaching courses, and providing supervision. Alysa has specialized in treating clients experiencing Anxiety Disorders, OCD, Eating Disorders, Attachment and Relationship Concerns, and Depression. Her therapeutic approach is evidence-based and trauma-informed, blending CBT, DBT, Mindfulness, Internal Family Systems, and Rational Emotive Therapies. Alysa is passionate about supporting clients to heal from trauma, break free from limiting beliefs, and create lives that they feel are meaningful and fulfilling. Alysa oversees the entire Virtual IOP program and is the main point of contact for any clinical programming.
