Abigail Cobabe, CSW

Therapist - Susan B. Anthony House

Abigail received her Bachelor of Social Work degree from Utah Valley University. During this time Abigail worked as a Student Mentor where she helped students navigate social, emotional, and educational challenges by acting as a trusted friend, an advocate, and a connection to resources. These years mentoring inspired Abigail to pursue a career in social work, earning her Master of Social Work degree with an emphasis in Mental Health from the University of Utah.

Through her work in correctional facilities and private practice, Abigail has gained experience working with trauma, anxiety, depression, LGBTQ issues, and attachment. She is skilled in using TF-CBT, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), DBT, and Mindfulness, and often takes an eclectic approach to meet each client’s unique needs.

Abigail creates a warm and supportive environment where her clients can feel seen, heard, and respected, while still challenging them to dig deeper. Brene Brown said, “Vulnerability is the birthplace of innovation, creativity and change.” Abigail embraces this concept and invites her clients to practice vulnerability as a tool to build new habits, insights, and connections.

Some of Abigail’s personal interests include going on walks with her dog, trying new foods, reading, and watching movies.
