Sienna Lyon

Sienna is currently working on her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Prescott College in Arizona with an emphasis on somatic counseling and is concurrently completing an Ed.S. in Experiential Therapy. Sienna also holds a bachelor’s degree in Religious Studies from Reed College. Exploring what it means to be human, with all the trials and tribulations, and especially the moments of joy and awe, are what inspire Sienna to do this work. She approaches counseling from a strengths-based and person-centered approach, with a focus on rehabilitating attachment wounds through an empathetic, genuine, and attuned therapeutic relationship. Her approach focuses on using experiential methods, including meditation, walk-and-talk therapy, games, and art. She has worked with adolescents for over 5 years as an after-school program facilitator and later as an ESL teacher. Sienna is honored to be able to help teens confront challenges and discover who they truly are. In her free time, Sienna enjoys running long distances and terrifying her mother with pictures of herself rock-climbing. She also loves hiking and backpacking with her husband and dog, drinking lots of tea, and making new friends on her international travels.
