Laurie Brown

Laurie is a Revenue Cycle Management professional with over 25 years of combined operations management experience and has a heart for service. She joined Embark Behavioral Health in 2017. She brings a lengthy background in operational healthcare experience managing multi-site, and state, revenue cycle teams related to government, commercial insurance, and private pay. Laurie strives to excel in resolving challenges with innovative solutions, systems, and process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity. She has worked to build a cohesive Revenue Cycle Management team for Embark Behavioral Health while focusing on streamlined workflows between RCM and the operational programs of the company.

Throughout her career, Laurie has served on various groups and associations to improve billing procedures for Medicaid and Medicare programs. She has partnered with a variety of key stakeholders for commercial payors to improve claims processing, which drives timely reimbursement for services.

Outside of work, Laurie serves on the Board of Directors for a local preschool. She enjoys spending time with her family and loves doting over her grandchildren while rediscovering life through their eyes. She also loves exploring her home state of California, especially while spending time on the central California coastline with her husband.
