Phillip Reynolds, LCSW

Area Executive Director

Phillip A. Reynolds joins Embark with over 20 years of experience as a mental and behavioral health professional. He excels at identifying and maximizing strengths while fostering a sense of community and culture within organizations and treatment environments.

Previously, Phillip held key leadership positions at Pasadena Villa Outpatient (Odyssey Behavioral Health). As the Regional Executive Director, he was responsible for driving business results for outpatient locations within the state of Virginia. His role encompassed ensuring the quality and integrity of existing programs, developing future programs within Virginia, and standardizing operations across the organization.

With over 20 years of experience, including owning a psychotherapeutic practice and a behavioral coaching company, Phillip possesses unique insights into human behavior. He has extensive experience across the treatment spectrum, spanning traditional outpatient private practice, educational support services, intensive in-home psychoeducational and behavioral support, and private wraparound services for youth, including those transitioning from higher levels of care outside of their homes (such as wilderness programs, residential treatment programs, and therapeutic boarding schools).

Notably, he previously served as the Program Director of Recognize, Internalize, Verbalize, Empathize, Recovery, and Safety (R.I.V.E.R.S.), a program he reimagined and rebuilt for youth with sexual behavior problems at Sheppard Pratt’s Jefferson School Residential Treatment Center (RTC) in Jefferson, Maryland.

Phillip maintains strong relationships with clients, employees, and stakeholders. His success in driving organizational impact highlights his skills in anticipating issues and risks, challenging assumptions, and identifying opportunities.

Phillip holds a Master of Clinical Social Work Degree from Smith College School for Social Work. He also possesses Bachelor of Arts Degrees in Sociology and Psychology from Elon University, along with minors in Anthropology and Women/Gender Studies, and a concentration in Human Sexuality.
