Michele Surber

Currently serving Embark Behavioral Health-Independence as the Executive Director, Michele is an experienced leader in child and family services. With over two decades in the field, most notably as Director of Healthcare for the Homeless of Ventura County, Regional Director of Operations at Telecare for both Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties and Executive Director of Caritas Clinics with Intermountain Health, Michele is passionate about providing healing opportunities to our most vulnerable populations. She holds a master’s degree from the University of Portsmouth, in the United Kingdom, where she also holds dual citizenship. When not working, Michele loves to read, spend quality time with her family and travel as often as possible.
