Dr. Margie Gill is a licensed psychotherapist and clinical supervisor for mental health professionals. Dr. Gill has provided humanitarian aid for over 30 years. She received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Georgia Gwinnett College and master’s degree in Clinical Counseling Psychology from Brenau University. Dr. Gill obtained her doctorate in Counseling at the University of Georgia. She is also the founder of Tabitha’s House, Inc., a nonprofit organization that provides direct-care services, resources, and awareness workshops to combat human trafficking. Shea serves as the Co-Chair of Workgroup 7 and Chair of Workgroup 9 for the Georgia Statewide Human Trafficking Taskforce. She is also the Vice-Chair for the DeKalb County Juvenile Mental Health Court – Journey Program Advisory Board. She serves as a board member for Dekalb County Juvenile Court. Dr. Gill is a proud member of Leadership Gwinnett’s Class of 2022.

Dr. Gill’s experiences expand into higher education where she was the first Executive Director of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging at Brenau University. Additionally, she is an associate professor of psychology. She also conducts research and provides mental health counseling services to children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families impacted by sex trafficking, trauma, juvenile delinquency, depression, adverse childhood experiences, educational disparities, neurodivergent disorders, mass incarceration, unhealthy attachment styles, gang affiliation, oppression, and other inequities. She has written policy on diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging. Dr. Gill is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), National Certified Counselor (NCC), Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS), Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor (CPCS), and Certified in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.

Dr. Gill’s philanthropy extends domestically and internationally. She develops and oversees schools in Nicaragua, Rwanda, Uganda, and Tanzania. Most recently, she visited Panama, Nepal, and Belize to discuss educational advancements and inform policy around gender equity and social inclusion. She has been invited to India to assist in similar efforts. Additionally, Dr. Gill serves on several boards in various capacities spanning across international borders.
