Lindsey Karl

Lindsey is a licensed professional counselor with over seven years of clinical experience. Lindsey has provided individual, group, and family therapy to various levels of care as well as worked in clinical case management. Lindsey’s compassion and empathy, combined with her strong clinical experience, aid in providing a positive experience to prospective residents and their families from the start.

Lindsey obtained her undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin – LaCrosse, followed by her graduate degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee. Lindsey has worked with children and adolescents in various levels of care, including outpatient, intensive outpatient (IOP), partial hospitalization (PHP), and inpatient hospitalization programs for the duration of her clinical career.

As the Enrollment Director, Lindsey will be your first point of contact for Embark at Alexandria. Lindsey will work to provide a smooth coordination of care and transition for the child and family, ensuring proper understanding of the program, documentation requirements, and being available to answer any questions surrounding the admission.

Lindsey is passionate about prioritizing the unique mental, emotional, and physical needs of each individual and believes that a proactive approach aids in personal growth, builds resilience, and provides the skills and insights needed to navigate (future) challenges more effectively.

Outside of work, Lindsey enjoys trying new coffee shops, reading, traveling, and exploring the DMV’s many attractions.
