Kari Burden

Kari Burden is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Eating Disorder Specialist who joined Embark in 2023. She brings a spirit of collaboration, characteristic of her experiences working on multidisciplinary treatment teams serving clients with eating disorders and co-occurring diagnoses across inpatient, residential, PHP, and IOP levels of care. Kari is passionate about building trusting relationships and creating spaces where others feel accepted and empowered. Her professional interests include the mind-body connection, complex trauma, group therapy, DBT, play and expressive arts therapies, and working with LGBTQ+ youth. Kari enjoys spending time at home, surrounded by her dog, cat, and plethora of ongoing creative projects.
