Therapeutic Support

Hola! My name is Ginger. I was a rescue from Mexico city, and I am fluent in both Spanish and English. I am three years old, and I have two brothers at home (both cats named Everest and Nepal). Some of my favorite activities are going to the dog beach, walking around shops, sitting with my parents at restaurants, and cuddling on the couch. I am definitely a people-centered pup, and love to hangout in a calm space in order to provide support with cuddles and a gentle presence. My nicknames are “Gingerita, Ginger Snap, Gingerita Conchita, and Jenjibre (my name in Spanish).” Rules For Ginger:

  1. Please ask to touch/pet
  2. Allow Ginger to come to you, as opposed to chasing after her.
  3. Please do not disturb Ginger when she is in her crate, or on a walk.
  4. Do not grab her leash or harness unless instructed.
  5. Only handlers (including Embark staff) are allowed to freely touch or give commands. You may provide a command or touch only when instructed to do so
  6. No feeding Ginger treats or human food unless you are given verbal consent by staff/handler.
  7. Staff/ handler must always be present when interacting with Ginger. Please notify a member of staff/ handler if you notice Ginger by herself.
  8. No taking Ginger on walks, unless you are accompanied by a staff/ handler.
  9. Do not take Ginger in the bathrooms.
  10. Ginger has specific commands designated to ensure safety for all, including herself. Only staff/ handler is permitted to use commands to reprimand or reinforce her behaviors/conduct.
