Clinical Support Staff

Originally from Bethesda, MD, Dylan returned to the DMV area after earning a BA in Sociology and Psychology from Tulane University in New Orleans, LA. Graduating in 2020 presented unique challenges in the job market, prompting her to explore opportunities beyond her primary field of study. She began working as a physical therapy rehab technician, discovering that this role resonated with her academic background and allowed her to utilize her interpersonal communication and relationship-building skills. Engaging with patients enabled her to apply her understanding of human behavior, particularly in addressing the mental challenges that often accompany physical rehabilitation. This experience deepened her dedication to pursuing a career in mental health and helping others throughout their healing journeys.

After leaving that role, Dylan traveled extensively across Southeast Asia, immersing herself in diverse cultures and further cultivating her ability to forge meaningful connections.

In addition to her role at Embark, Dylan volunteers as a crisis counselor with the National Crisis Text Line and as a helpline support specialist with the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI). She is currently exploring graduate school programs to become a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), with a particular focus on Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

Dylan values creating and maintaining strong connections rooted in empathy, compassion, kindness, and authenticity. She feels fortunate to be part of the Embark team, where she has the opportunity to hold space and show up for others in the same way that others have done for her in the past.

In her free time, Dylan enjoys getting together with friends and family, attending live music events, exploring the outdoors, and engaging in various physical activities.
