Dipika Daga, LGPC

Therapist

Dipika, a mental health therapist at Embark with a passion for human connection, grew up in the vibrant city of Mumbai, India. After completing her studies in expressive arts therapy and integrative counseling, she discovered her calling in helping others navigate life’s challenges. She worked with adolescents navigating developmental delays and cancer survivor families. Her journey then took her to Maryland, where she completed her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Johns Hopkins University.

With a belief that our culture, relationships, and environment shape who we are, Dipika blends various therapeutic approaches to create personalized treatment plans for her clients. She specializes in addressing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and other mental health concerns. Dipika’s professional path is as diverse as her interests! She’s worked with private practices, non-profits helping refugees, asylum seekers, and survivors of trauma, and community organizations supporting people facing substance use disorders and intimate partner violence. Her unique approach combines Relational Cultural Theory, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and expressive arts to foster personal growth and healing.

As a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor (LGPC) in Maryland, Dipika brings her heart to individual, couple, and group therapy sessions. She’s also an emerging leader—having served with the Maryland Counseling Association and now taking on the role of Vice President for Asian American/Pacific Islander Concerns at the Association for Multicultural Counseling & Development.

Outside of her professional life, Dipika enjoys exploring nature, painting, reading, playing video games, and theater. She is the founder and President of “Paddling Foundation,” a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting menstrual hygiene and equity in India established in 2018.

Dipika is committed to providing a supportive and empathetic space for her clients, helping them find healing and growth. She considers herself to be a healer and in the journey of healing.
