Desiree Latta

Desiree Latta is a proud native of Washington, DC with a deep commitment to mental health care. Backed by extensive clinical and administrative experience, she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Morgan State University, where she was honored to be inducted into Kappa Omicron Nu and the National Council of Negro Women. Her passion for helping others led to pursuing a Master’s degree in Public Health Social Work, enhancing her clinical skills and empowering her to serve diverse populations more effectively.

With the LMSW licensure, she has had the privilege of working in a wide range of clinical settings, including Inpatient Care, Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP), Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP), group homes, dual diagnosis programs, private practice, and foster care. These experiences have given Desiree a well-rounded understanding of therapeutic care and a deep appreciation for the complexities of different mental health needs.

In the role as Enrollment Director for Embark Behavioral Health, she blends her many years of experience in healthcare administration, clinical operations, and mental health advocacy to help individuals and families navigate the often overwhelming journey of seeking care. Her clinical background, combined with her administrative expertise, ensures that she provides a smooth, supportive, and efficient experience from the first point of contact.

Having worked as a therapists directly with mental health professionals, Desiree brings a hands-on understanding of various therapeutic modalities, client needs, and treatment plans. This allows her to make informed decisions when matching clients with the right therapists, ensuring that each individual or family feels understood and supported throughout the enrollment process.
