Daisy received a master’s degree in social work, with an emphasis on children, youth and families, from the University of Southern California’s Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work. She has experience in community mental health working with children, teens, and adults experiencing serious mental illness and complex trauma. She is also experienced working with LGBTQ+ youth, youth experiencing homelessness, and youth in the foster care system. Her client-centered, strengths-based approach integrates elements of CBT, DBT and other evidence-based practices. Daisy brings a life-long passion for social justice to her work with individuals from diverse backgrounds and identities. She graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Vassar College with an interdisciplinary degree in 19th Century Studies and holds a master’s degree in print journalism from USC. Prior to embarking on a second career as a therapist, she worked in non-profit communications and fundraising. She also volunteered extensively and taught parenting classes. Daisy’s experience as a mother, stepmother and foster parent informs her work with families. In her free time, she enjoys reading, travel, swimming, and spending time with family and friends.
