2023 Annual Outcomes Report Highlights Demonstrated Success in Resolving Anxiety, Depression and Strengthening Well-Being.
Chandler, Ariz. (July 24, 2024) — Embark Behavioral Health, a leading network of outpatient clinics and residential programs offering premier, evidence-based mental health treatment for adolescents and young adults, enrolled and provided treatment to 1,883 clients in 2023, according to the recently released Healing Generations: Annual Outcomes Report. The report summarizes the results of survey data collected during and after treatment to measure outcomes including distress, depression, anxiety, and overall well-being.
Embark collects thousands of data points to learn about treatment progress and results in real time and track outcomes using sophisticated, internationally validated tools. The surveys focus on the impact of treatment and services provided as they relate to educational and vocational status, stabilization, and return to home, work and the community. Of those who completed surveys in 2023:
- 91% of parents reported that their child has either returned to school or been employed after one year.
- 90% of parents reported that their child has either returned to school or been employed after two years.
- 84% of parents reported zero psychiatric hospitalizations after one year and 81% reported zero psychiatric hospitalizations after two years.
“We are very encouraged by the incredible progress made by our clients while continuing to understand that our mission requires continuous improvement,” said Alex Stavros, CEO, Embark Behavioral Health. “Embark’s full continuum of care avoids the ‘one-size fits-all’ approach that prevails in the behavioral health industry, enabling us to deliver the right care at the right time in the right place as a solution preferred by payors and consumers that lowers the costs and removes the friction of getting help.”
Care is delivered by multidisciplinary teams with industry leading clinicians, and all programs are accredited by The Joint Commission, which assesses quality of care and patient outcomes. Embark’s continuum of care provides a full suite of therapeutic services with nearly 40 treatment programs, including:
Positive results were demonstrated across the continuum of care. In particular, the average measure of success in well-being at discharge was above the clinical lines that indicate healthy functioning.
The annual outcomes report is another step in achieving Embark’s goal of leading the way in driving teen and young adult anxiety, depression, and suicide to all-time lows by 2028.
“We are committed to immediately addressing the youth mental health crisis facing our nation,” said Dr. Sharnell D. Myles, chief clinical officer, Embark Behavioral Health. “The community services Embark offers reduces the stigma around mental health and increases the awareness of the spectrum of services available to address those issues.”
