Mark Milliron

Mark Milliron graduated from the University of Redlands (California) with a Bachelor of Science in 1976. In 1978, he completed a Master of Science in Developmental Biology at the University of California, Riverside. Milliron entered the University of British Columbia’s Faculty of Medicine in 1978, where he specialized in Medical Genetics. He earned his PA degree from Loma Linda University in 2014 and has served as the Didactic Director for Loma Linda’s PA program since 2017. In addition to his administrative role, he is a full-time professor responsible for the program’s Psychiatry and Pathophysiology courses.
Milliron holds teaching credentials in both California and British Columbia and is one of the original authors of the AVID curriculum, a college-readiness program operating in 16 countries and 45 U.S. states. The father of five, his work with adolescents includes teaching, counseling and coaching. Milliron is the founder and Director of the Redlands Walk-in Medical Clinic, a free medical service for citizens without homes. He is co-founder of MasterPeace Ministries, a Christian outreach supporting community development among indigenous groups in South America and Africa.
