Dr. Hillary French is a California Licensed Clinical Psychologist, having received her Doctor of Psychology Degree from California School of Professional Psychology- Fresno in 1998. Hillary has dedicated her entire career to providing mental health care for youth, teens, and young adults and is passionate about finding solutions to help young people thrive. Hillary is an expert in knowing the needs of local Bay Area families and for the last 16 years, she has has been providing crisis intervention, educational and therapeutic consulting services for the surrounding communities. She has comprehensive training and experience in working with clients who struggle with depression, anxiety, self-harm, substance abuse, adoption, eating disorders, trauma, grief and loss, and complex co-occurring psychological and health issues. Hillary’s commitment in working with transgender and gender noncomforming teens has been of great importance. She not only encouraged therapeutic treatment schools and centers to provide gender affirming services, but in 2016 she co-founded the Gender Education DeMystification Symposium (GEMS), now a yearly conference.
On her free time Hillary enjoys spending it with her family going on hikes, traveling, and watching movies together. She also likes to lift weight and get muddy too- as she has completed in over 15 obstacle course races.
