Fulshear Treatment to Transition
Fulshear Treatment to Transition is a program for young adult women, ages 18-24, struggling with mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, personality disorders and/or trauma. Young women there typically struggle with relationships as well.
Women start their journey on Fulshear’s 34-acre ranch just outside of Houston, Texas, where they receive 24-hour support in a peaceful, structured, therapeutic environment. They then move to the next step of Fulshear’s program, which helps them transition and evokes emotional safety and lasting change.
Combining different types of therapy, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, equine-assisted therapy, family and individual therapy, and more, Fulshear is focused on creating healthy, influential and strong women who know how to take care of themselves, are a force for good in their own lives and the lives of others, and have a positive influence over others.
Fulshear utilizes its Integrated Attachment Model which allows them to view the struggles of their young women through the lens of attachment, creating empathy and understanding intention. The Integrated Attachment model also encourages and teaches their young women how to be healthy seekers within relationships.
Some of the mental health issues that Fulshear treats in young women, include:
- Bipolar disorder
- Eating disorders
- Family conflict
- Personality disorder
- Relationship difficulties
