What’s the difference between a therapeutic day treatment program and an IOP at our Ashburn program?
Our therapeutic day treatment program in Virginia, also referred to as a partial hospitalization program, or PHP, provides structured treatment for adolescents and teens who are stepping down a level of care from an inpatient hospitalization or residential program or who require more intensive care than what an IOP provides. An IOP program takes place in the evenings to accommodate school and work schedules and provides nine to 12 hours per week of treatment. A day treatment program typically offers 27.5 hours per week of treatment.
