Virtual Event – Eating Disorders: Tips for Supporting Teens and Young Adults

According to recent reports, at least 30 million people in the United States suffer from an eating disorder, with 95% being between the ages of 12 and 25.  

There’s no one sign of an eating disorder, but there are red flags. This discussion will provide you with general information regarding various types of eating disorders, strategies to help identify the early warning signs, and resources for managing the disorders. 

Meet the Speaker – Embark Therapist, Emily Rowe, LMSW
Emily Rowe is a Licensed Master of Social Work and therapist at Embark Atlanta North. Emily earned her Bachelors in Social Work from Belmont University in Nashville and a Masters of Social Work from the University of Louisville. She currently lives in Cumming, Georgia since moving from Nashville, Tennessee in 2021. Emily has spent the majority of her career working with the justice involved population and various forms of addiction. Emily is passionate about fighting the Diet Industry and fostering self-esteem in the youth and young adults that she is currently working with. In her spare time, you will find Emily with her black lab, Dobby, or at Disney World.
